The Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) is a nonprofit research and strategy organization and the leading authority on U.S. inner city economies and the businesses that thrive there. Founded in 1994 by Harvard Business School Professor Michael Porter, ICIC strengthens inner city economies by providing businesses, governments and investors with the most comprehensive and actionable information on the field about urban market opportunities.
The National Restaurant Association (NRA) is the largest foodservice trade association in the world (by membership) — supporting nearly 500,000 restaurant businesses. In partnership with our state restaurant associations (SRA), more than 750 staffers are working to empower all restaurant owners and operators to achieve more than they thought possible.

With more than 1,100 members, the Chicago Association of Direct Marketing (CADM) is the largest regional direct marketing association in the U.S., and the only broad-based direct marketing association in the Chicago metropolitan area. The Heartland™ Mobile Council (HMC) is a Chicago-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to help businesses “cross the chasm” from mobile technologies to mobile marketing. The council seeks to provide insights into mobile behaviors that will help businesses reach their consumers through their mobile devices. The result will be faster adoption and a more strategic approach that will grow the mobile industry and make every year the “year of mobile.”
